Dr Helen Gillies

Helen graduated in 1980 from Guys Hospital Medical Scvhool in London. After various hospital and GP training posts she joined a practice in London in 1988.

Helen and her family moved to the Chester Area in 1991. She was not initially looking for a full-time partnership and joined the Farndon Practice in 1992. At the beginning this was for two sessions per week. This varied over the years with changing commitments to family and to other medical work.

Currently Helen works for four sessions per week as a GP in Farndon (Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays) and for two sessions per week as an assistant Cardiologist at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Helen's skills in Cardiology are invaluable in the GP setting, and Helen oversees the complex treatment needs of all of our patients with known heart disease or diabetes. She is also involved with the constant quest to identify those who are at high risk of developing heart problems. Such people can be screened and treated if required to hopefully reduce the frequency of heart disease.

Dr Rhian Edwards

Rhian joined the practice in January 2009 following a varied career. Coming from Rhos near Wrexham she trained at Liverpool and has worked in a number of practices in the Wrexham area.
